About the Role
As a Product Development Intern you would assist in a wide range of specialized testing, experimental work, and technical support activities in a research and development function. Assist in the conduct of a broad range of more specialized testing activities on raw materials, components and products in laboratory, pilot plant or operational plant environments. Perform a range of support activities to enable the smooth operation of the R&D environment.
- Supports laboratory material management, including assisting with inventory control, labeling, and maintaining a safe, clean, & organized lab environment
- Participate in research tasks and related activities
- Perform testing using standard methods and protocols, with guidance on modified or specialized procedures
- Assist senior technicians and scientists with project work, plant trials, & experimental setups
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel by reporting equipment issues and supporting basic troubleshooting activities
- Assist in documenting test results and preparing summary reports or presentations for project teams
- Responsible for demonstrating site safety at all times
- Other duties as assigned
About You
- High school diploma including completion of: chemistry lecture & lab course, Algebra II
- OR Bachelor’s degree in physical or natural sciences
- Working knowledge of a laboratory environment and ability to perform tasks in accordance with established safety procedures and guidelines
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and planning skills
- Experience with basic spreadsheet and word processing software applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and the flexibility to take on a variety of duties
