About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Intern to join our on-site team at our corporate office and testing facility in Oklahoma City, OK. This is a hands-on internship designed for individuals looking to build practical experience in a fast-paced industrial IT environment. Working alongside experienced IT professionals, the intern will provide day-to-day technical support, maintain hardware across the site, and help ensure the accuracy of our IT ticketing system.
- Set up, configure, and deploy desktop computers, laptops, monitors, printers, and peripherals for end users across the site.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware faults, arranging repairs or replacements as needed.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on IT equipment to minimize downtime.
- Support the installation and replacement of hardware components (RAM, hard drives, peripherals, etc.).
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers regarding warranty repairs and equipment returns.
- Assist in setting up workstations for new starters, relocations, and temporary users on the shop floor.
- Ensure all work is fully documented in the IT ticketing system (Jira).
About You
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree or qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Solid foundational understanding of PC hardware components and how they work.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A willingness to work on-site in an active manufacturing environment and follow all safety training procedures.
- Clear and professional communication skills — both written and verbal.
- Excellent customer services skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Previous experience in technical support, helpdesk, or IT administration role (even informal or voluntary)
- Familiarity with asset management tools or ticketing systems
- Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or similarly structured environment
