Reports to
Shift Supervisor

Position Overview

The general function of this position is to operate the chemical process within the assigned area in a safe and efficient manner to produce a high-quality product. 12-hour rotating shifts to include nights and weekend. Responsible for ensuring the operation of the plant is accomplished in an environmentally responsible manner, and in compliance with all Safety, Health and Environmental Policy.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Offload hazardous chemicals
  • Read and comprehend standard operating procedures and piping and instrumentation diagrams
  • Understand the process flow and production requirements for the area assigned
  • Complete the necessary training and maintain refresher hours as required
  • Stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Lift 55 pounds or more
  • Perform general housekeeping to include sweeping and shoveling
  • Work in extreme weather conditions to include hot, cold, and rainy weather
  • Climb ladder to work at heights
  • Walk extended distance to perform track work
  • Forklift operations
  • Front end load operations

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Five (5) years manufacturing experience preferred
  • Achieving a Gold or above on the ACT Work Keys Assessment is preferred
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Manufacturing Basic Skills Certification preferred
  • Forklift operating experience preferred
  • Front end loading experience preferred
