Summary

Experienced HR Advisor will provide a full range of support services to the US HR teams as well as employees across the sites. The HR Advisor will oversee, participate in, and coordinate general HR activities, including areas of benefits, payroll, HRIS management, recruitment, personnel actions, learning management administration and regulatory compliance .

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Participate in decision-making matters involving policy expectations and interpretation
  • Work in a collaborative local and regional team-based environment
  • Maintain HRIS System, program changes, and database administration ensuring HRIS quality data
  • Assist employees with benefits and compensation programs
  • Operate in a generalist role and assist with recommendations regarding Human Resources compliance procedures
  • Manage the assignment of mandatory new hire and annual company-wide trainings within the Learning Management System (LMS) and report on monthly LMS usage.
  • Coordinates recruitment, selection, placement and on-boarding process and events
  • Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
  • Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
  • Oversees the administration of the service awards program
  • Manages the tuition reimbursement program including reviewing and approving employee applications, ensuring compliance with program guidelines and processing reimbursements
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or Human Resources Information Systems and minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience required
  • Current human resources and/or compensation credentials or certification preferred
  • Strong math and analytical skill
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot table, v-lookup, combo graphs, etc)
  • Previous HRIS experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask various projects and assignments
  • Capability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations (FMLA, FLSA, ADA , etc.) required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Capability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems
