Primary Responsibilities

  • Execute strategic electrical plant asset programs, including the implementation of mechanical, electrical, control, and instrumentation systems.
  • Oversee the production and execution of projects to improve and ensure the integrity of plant assets, including the feasibility, design, planning, construction and commissioning of major electrical plant upgrades.
  • Develop and manage medium- and long-term asset management plans that achieve business objectives (safety, costs, quality production) while ensuring adherence to the company’s power systems and engineering standards and procedures as well as applicable statutory compliance and inspection processes.
  • Prepare and administer budgets for projects/programs and identify opportunities for reducing costs.
  • Continuously monitor equipment performance data, failures, energy consumption, and other data points to proactively improve asset performance and plant production output.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, plus 5 years of post-Bachelor’s progressive experience in the offered position or as an Asset Improvement or Electrical Engineer.
  • Three years of the required experience must have included: executing strategic asset programs, including the implementation of mechanical, electrical, control, and implementation systems for an electrical or heavy industry; performing maintainability analysis of plant’s processes and operational readiness, including life cycle costs, motor control center (MCC), earthing and bonding audits, energy management and efficiency, renewable energy, root cause failure analysis and reporting; applying ISO 5000, ISO 55001, IEEE and IEC electrical standards; preparing and administering budgets for projects/programs; developing and reviewing electrical designs for electrical upgrades, reticulation, repairs or installations; reviewing and negotiating electrical utility contract; and using AutoCad and power system analysis software.

This role entails hybrid work, with time split between working in our Hamilton, MS office and flexibility to telecommute from another U.S. location. #LI-DNI

Located on approximately 3,000 acres of beautiful landscape in Northeast Mississippi the Hamilton facility is Tronox's largest titanium dioxide manufacturing facility.
