Located on approximately 3,000 acres of beautiful landscape in Northeast Mississippi the Hamilton facility is Tronox's largest titanium dioxide manufacturing facility. In operation for more than 60 years, the plant continues to stand the test of time by continuously growing and developing new technologies and strategies.

Position Overview
Experience in providing technical support to the maintenance department; excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal and computer skills; ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams in reliability projects; and experience with problem-solving rotating and stationary equipment (such as pumps, conveyors, blowers, dust collectors, etc.) is required. Preferences include experience in conducting reliability functions such as reliability engineering, reliability centered maintenance (RCM), root cause failure (RCFA), and preventive maintenance optimization; strong knowledge of reliability data assessment, statistical analysis, and improvement methods; familiarity with CMMS/EAM (SAP, Maximo, Passport or Oracle); a member of SMRP and/or CMRP certification.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Working with Project Engineering to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations.
  • Participating in the final check out of new installations. This includes factory and site acceptance testing that will assure adherence to functional specifications.
  • Value-added preventive maintenance tasks
  • Effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems
  • Root-cause and Root-cause Failure Analysis (RCA, RCFA)
  • Providing technical support to production, maintenance management and technical personnel
  • Applying value analysis to repair/replace, repair/design, and make/buy decisions.
  • Utilizing RCM process for existing and new equipment.


Qualifications
Position requires a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Pay grade will be commensurate with relevant engineering experience of one to three years in a chemical manufacturing plant or industrial reliability maintenance field.
