Regional Business Improvement Coordinator

Coordinating the business improvement activities in Europe

Botlek-Rotterdam (NL), Stallingborough (GB) or Thann (F)

Definite employment contract (1 year), with the intention to change this to indefinite

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

 

 

 

In the position of Regional Business Improvement Coordinator, you will be accountable for coordinating the business improvement activities for the three European sites (e.g. OE, Accelerate program, CCI - our Operational excellence program.
 

The following primary responsibilities will be part of this position:

  • Manage and drive the operational excellence ‘Tronox Way’ programs in our the European sites
  • Contribute to the current and future performance by developing and translating continuous improvement strategies into implementation plans, in close liaison with line management.
  • Contribute to the achievement of production and business objectives through providing supporting services and systems such as:
  • Introducing and implementing appropriate and effective change management strategies
  • Providing program planning, structural and administrative assistance for personnel involved in performance improvement
  • Auditing compliance to agreed Tronox Way standards
  • Providing training and support in the use of process improvement strategies and techniques. These will include: Qualitative techniques such as improvement planning, process or value stream mapping, cause and effect analysis, role and responsibility definition, Lean Manufacturing, DMAIC; and quantitative techniques such as appropriate data collection, analysis and use; statistically based process control and reporting
  • Initiate, Guide, conduct or lead shopfloor improvement activities
  • Guide and help with the development of the local implementation plans

Practical information:

  • You will report to the T&I Director Europe
  • It is a fulltime position, but working part time is a possibility.
  • An assessment can be part of the selection procedure;
  • A Pre-employment Screening will be executed via a third party. 

 

 

 

 

WHAT DO WE ASK?

 

 

 

 

  • Completed relevant Technical education (e.g. Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering)
  • Additional business improvement qualifications such as Six Sigma, Black Belt or significant experience in implementation of Lean manufacturing systems (Lean Six Sigma, 5S, TPS, Kaizen, VSM, etc.)
  • Proven track record of tangible sustained performance improvements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management capabilities
  • Able to lead, guide and facilitate projects and project teams on their improvement journey
  • Able to identify local best practices and bring them forward to our Central group.
  • Line management experience in a complex manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Work experience in a matrix structure is a plus
  • Fluent in English. Dutch and French is a plus.
