Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Serves customers by providing product and order information, maintaining customer records, and managing the assigned accounts effectively. Troubleshoot any problems, handle customer complaints by determining the cause of the problem, and explaining the best solution to solve the problem. Expedite or correct any orders as needed. Support revenue closing activities for each month by properly handling customer orders and running reports from SAP.

TYPICAL JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES WOULD INCLUDE:

  • Receive and process customer orders, inquiries, and/or complaints within a timely manner.
  • Act as a liaison and maintain an on-going relationship with customers and sales staff.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity and attentiveness to all customer needs.
  • Effectively communicate product availability and logistics tracking to the customer and sales as needed.
  • Exercise judgment and perform independently within authorized limits.
  • Confirm and validate pricing as provided by sales.
  • Track order activity and alert appropriate staff of any potential delivery problems.
  • Process expedited orders as requested by customer. 
  • Trained as a functional backup on all CAC responsibilities
  • Participate in preparations for internal and external audits (SOX).
  • Obtain a good understanding of Incoterms, Payment terms, and applicable banking charges.
  • Develop a good understanding of the month-end close process and its requirements.
  • Execution of Credit, Debit, Rebate, and commission processes.
  • Develop a working knowledge of SAP.
  • Understand the impact and interaction of other systems and users within the company.
  • Responsible for generating documents supporting orders that go to the customer via e-mail or otherwise, as required (COA, OA/Confirmation, Pro-forma Invoices, BOL, Delivery Note, Packing List, Insurance Certification, POD).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Business-related degree with 1 – 3 years of experience working as part of a team (experience in a manufacturing environment a plus).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Accounting related experience is a plus.
  • SAP experience a plus.
