Position Overview

The Tax Accountant is responsible for assisting in preparation of FAS 109 tax projections for use in SEC reporting (added emphasis), preparation and filing of tax returns and reports, paying taxes, assisting with tax audits, performing tax research, and other tax duties as assigned. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in preparing tax returns and reports as assigned to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations Requesting information from various departments to ensure the timely receipt of necessary and essential information
  • Ensuring the timely and accurate filing of all returns and reports
  • Preparing and/or reviewing responses to information document requests received from tax authorities
  • Tracking statutes of limitation and working with tax and legal advisors in various locations around the world
  • Performing tax research and planning for tax minimization
  • Keeping abreast of US federal, state and local tax laws as well as tax laws of certain Australian South African, Brazilian, Saudi Arabian, Chinese, and several European jurisdictions
  • Preparing tax calendar items and other such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned 

Skills/Qualifications:

  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting plus a minimum of 1-3 years related experience. 
  • Candidate should be a certified public accountant (CPA) or seeking certification. 
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent computer and communication skills. 
  • Candidate should be proficient in Excel and Word, tax return preparation software (ONESOURCE) and in tax research tools.
  • Experience using SAP accounting software would be beneficial.
  • Candidate should be fluent in English and foreign language would be beneficial
