TRONOX BURSARIES FOR THE 2025 ACADEMIC YEAR

As part of our Bursary Programme we are inviting 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year 2025 students, who will be studying courses aligned to our business needs.

B Eng/BSc Degree/ B Tech advanced diploma in:

• Electrical Engineering 
• Mechanical Engineering
• Chemical Engineering 
•  Metallurgical Engineering 
• Analytical Chemistry
• Mine Survey
•  Mining Engineering
•  Instrumentation & Control

WHAT THE BURSARY OFFERS:

• The comprehensive bursary will cover registration fees, tuition fees, residential fees, meals & personal expenses, a laptop, and textbooks.
• Practical work for bursary holders as prescribed by the institution of study.

WHAT YOU NEED TO QUALIFY:

IN 2024, YOU ARE:	YOU WILL BE EVALUATED ON:	MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Currently in Gr. 12 or Recently matriculated	June 2024 Gr. 12 results OR Gr. 12 final results	Mathematics & Physical Science (60%); English (60%); university acceptance letter
1st– 4th year undergraduate	2024 latest results	60% average; Proof of registration by University.

 

NOTE:

• Applicants can only apply for one discipline .
• Applicants should comply with the minimum entry requirements as prescribed by the relevant universities
• Bursary opportunities are only available to South African citizens
• Nominated applicants will need to go through a selection process (including psychometric assessments, background screening and medical examinations)
• Successful candidates should be willing to be placed at any of Tronox Business Unit Operations on completion of studies. Applicants from the local communities surrounding the Namakwa Sands sites (Saldanha and Matzikama Municipalities) will be given preference.

• Attach in one file (PDF or Word) a CV, certified copy of Grade 12 results or latest academic record, proof of residence and a certified copy of your ID; proof of registration (current year of study) or provisional acceptance letter.

Submit these documents on or before 22 November 2024. No other method of application will be considered. Applications received without the supporting documents will not be considered.
