Position Overview

The OneStream Senior Applications Engineer will be primarily responsible for the management of the company’s OneStream application that will be used to meet Global Consolidations, External Reporting, and Financial Budgeting/Forecasting requirements. The position plays a key role in requirements gathering and interpretation of business needs. In addition, the candidate will provide training and consultation to business users of OneStream. Position will report to the Director of Global Financial Applications

The successful candidate will manage or work collaboratively within the following arenas:

System Implementation

  • Actively participate in the development of the company’s new OneStream Application
  • Assist with the load and tie-out of historical trial balance, statistical and other supplemental data from BPC to OneStream
  • Support the development of workflow, data integration and security testing
  • Support technical, end-user UAT, parallel close testing OneStream
  • Assist with the creation of UAT Test Scripts and all End-User Training Materials
  • Assist with the delivery of end-user training
  • Design and Develop new standard reports in the OneStream Application

Monthly Actuals/Budget and Forecast

  • Support the monthly Actuals Consolidation, the annual Budget and the Quarterly Forecast processes within OneStream
  • Coordinate and maintain data mappings and interfaces from source ERP Systems into OneStream
  • Manage and troubleshoot the load of general ledger data files and budget/forecast load templates into the application
  • Assist end-users with data and technical issues

Reporting

  • Evaluate requests for new standard reports
  • Design and Develop new standard reports and update existing reports to reflect metadata changes or new business or external reporting requirements
  • Migrate new or updated reports to the production environment

Security/Internal Controls

  • Responsible for the design and maintenance of all Security Groups and Roles in the system
  • Manage user and group access to the application
  • Maintain all OneStream System related Internal Controls Documentation
  • Perform and document system controls self- assessment testing 

System Maintenance/Software Updates

  • Evaluate requirements, develop and implement organizational changes in the application
  • Update metadata and other system components (i.e. web forms, data grids etc.) to meet all new business requirements for the monthly Actuals and the Budget/Forecasts
  • Perform changes to calculations, planning drivers and business rules, as required
  • Owner of the Product Development Lifecycle - Including the migration of applications from the development/test  application to the production application and vice versa
  • Coordinate business end-user testing in Dev/Test applications and sign-off for all changes prior to migration to Production.
  • Coordinate all software patches/updates from OneStream and ensure such updates are properly tested in Dev/QA prior to being moved to Production
  • Keep up-to-date and evaluate OneStream Marketplace Solutions (Account Recs, Tax Provisioning, Lease Accounting, Capex Planning etc.)  for possible future implementation
  • Maintain, and update as necessary, all system related documentations and training materials, including all Admin Guides  

Business Collaboration/Training

  • Work jointly with the key business stakeholders to understand business requirements and continually look to improve / enhance the application
  • Act as liaison between Accounting/Finance groups and the IT group
  • Provide training and consultation to business unit users of OneStream
  • Effectively brief management and business partners on project statuses and system issues

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university
  • Experience as an administrator of OneStream, Hyperion HFM, Hyperion Planning or similar EPM application - Certifications in related technology products is a plus
  • A minimum of 10 years of overall experience – a minimum of 5 years as a team lead or engagement manager for EPM applications
  • Strong computer aptitude and advanced excel skills
  • Working knowledge of corporate consolidations, financial planning and reporting
  • Must be highly motivated with a team focus
  • Be willing to provide off-hours emergency support to operating units as required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills - verbal and written
  • Ability to solve business problems using analytical and technical skills
  • Ability to help enforce Corporate Policies, Internal Controls and timetables
  • Solid project management experience with the design and implementation of systems
  • Good presentation and training skills
