Position Overview

This position plays a critical role in shaping the future of our IT department, delivering our global business transformation program and ensuring support for our existing applications.  Reporting to the Managing Director of Business Transformation, the VP Applications & Architecture will plan and realize a technology roadmap that is built in collaboration with the business.  This is a strategic IT leadership role, developing, implementing, and managing information technology strategies and initiatives for Tronox. The individual will lead an organization of over 100 IT professionals globally.
 

Primary Responsibilities

This role is accountable for:

  • Collaborating with business leaders across the organization, leading a team of information systems professionals, and delivering our business strategy.
  • Planning, establishing, and realizing a technology roadmap that is aligned with business needs and is visible to key stakeholders.
  • Supporting the delivery of the business transformation, ensuring the technical leadership necessary to ensure the timely delivery of the S4 implementation, consolidating our ERP landscape.
  • Enterprise Architecture, including chairing the Architecture Review Board (ARB).
  • Managing necessary upgrades and enhancements of existing applications.
  • Deliver operational excellence, through simplification, standardization, automation, optimization, and security.
  • Maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations and controls.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Demonstrated customer focus, connecting technology with business, and collaborating with business stakeholders on a global basis
  • At least 10 years of experience building, inspiring, and managing teams responsible for applications, architecture, systems development, systems support, compliance, and automation
  • Experience with Business Transformation Programs
  • Must have significant experience in SAP (S/4HANA experience is highly desired)
  • A Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s degree a plus)
  • Proven ability to manage multi-platform environments with geographically distributed resources
  • Successful track record of effective vendor management, specifically with Application Managed Services (AMS) outsourcing partners
  • Broad understanding of key business functions including production, maintenance, quality, commercial, finance, supply chain and HR
  • Experience in IT/OT; MES (Management Execution System), ICS (Integrated Control System), DCS (Data Control System), Operating Control Systems, OSI, or Data Historian
