Description

Job Responsibilities (Outputs) Production Efficiency

  • Control and oversee quality of products.
  • Perform basic production and maintenance tasks.
  • Control dayshift tools and equipment
  • Monitor process, conduct inspections and rectify sub-standard performance / conditions.
  • Prepare mining pump stations
  • Manage earth moving equipment

Compliance

  • An optimised team structure is manned by staff that is motivated, empowered and lead by sound performance management and transformational leadership practices.
  • Promote teamwork, provide support and manage performance by creating and maintaining individual development plans of subordinates.
  • Assume responsibility for managing manpower, efficient resource allocation, declaration of competence and reduction of operating cost
  • Ensure compliance to MHSA in the mining area

Performance Management and CI

  • Drive research and development initiatives to ensure continuous improvement and enhanced performance.
  • Keep abreast of new developments and potential threats within designated area are identified and addressed timeously.
  • Benchmark plant / mining activities and track performance to indicate improvement opportunities.

Effective People Management.

Qualification:
Grade 12/ Standard 10/ N3 (Mandatory) N4
Certificate in Production / Engineering (Mandatory)
Driver’s License (Mandatory)

Years of related prior experience:

3 – 5 years’ Applicable experience within a heavy industry/ production / mining environment (Mandatory)
Computer Literacy (Mandatory)
