Position Overview

The Manager, Risk & Insurance will be responsible for all non-benefit related insurance policies globally including but not limited to Property/Causality, D&O, Cargo, etc. insurance across the company.

 

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Manages insurance broker relationship
  • Helps place all global insurance programs
  • Recommends to senior management amount of coverage to buy based on industry benchmarks and company risk tolerance
  • Compiles all global exposure information in order to place the annual global insurance policies.
  • Works with the business in identifying company risk and recommends strategy to mitigate the risk whether it be via a transfer of risk through insurance or operational redundancy to mitigate the impact of the risk.
  • Provide certificate of insurance to suppliers, contractors, transporters, as requested.
  • Review insurance provisions of company contracts to insure proper level of insurance is written into the contract.
  • Manage all insurance claims that the company may have.
  • Assist the company in determining if a company loss could be covered by one of the company’s global insurance policies.
  • Work to ensure all Workers Comp claims are being managed and work with HR and claim management providers to oversee any back to work programs.
  • Assist internal audit in ERM identification and identify ways to mitigate ERM risk.
  • Actively manage property insurer operational risk recommendations and work with plants to address open recommendations that may have a significant impact to company in the event of a loss.
  • Placement of Surety Bonds.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 year of Risk experience
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in related field
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Good project management skills
