Description

Position Overview

This position is responsible for providing Maintenance support and tactical execution of asset and reliability activities and ensuring the operation of the plant in an environmentally responsible manner in compliance with all Safety, Heath, and Environmental Policies.

Responsibilities

  • Completes moderately complex value-added preventive maintenance investigations as directed by the Reliability and Integrity Leader
  • Requests Reliability Technicians investigations, selecting the applicable predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies.
  • Assists the Project Engineering team to examine the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations.
  • Consistently applies root-cause Failure Analysis (RCA, RCFA) techniques to investigate moderately complex reliability issues.
  • Provides Technical support to production, maintenance management and technical personnel as required.
  • Applies value analysis to repair/replace, repair/design, and make/buy decisions.
  • Utilize RCM process for existing and new equipment.
  • Consistently applies and uses Outward Mindset Principles and Tools.

Qualifications

  • Position requires a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 1-3 years of relevant engineering experience in a chemical manufacturing plant or industrial reliability maintenance field.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal and computer skills required.
  • Ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams in reliability projects required.
  • Experience with problem-solving rotating and stationary equipment (such as pumps, conveyors, blowers, dust collectors, etc.) required.
  • Preferences include experience in conducting reliability functions such as reliability engineering, reliability centered maintenance (RCM), root cause failure (RCFA), and preventive maintenance optimization, strong knowledge of reliability data assessment

Located on approximately 3,000 acres of beautiful landscape in Northeast Mississippi the Hamilton facility is Tronox's largest titanium dioxide manufacturing facility. In operation for more than 60 years, the plant continues to stand the test of time by continuously growing and developing new technologies and strategies.
