Service Delivery Manager - Manufacturing Applications

Europe - (UK, FRA or NLD) and South Africa

 

Position Overview

As a Service Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for managing the application portfolio of systems that support the Tronox’s Manufacturing Systems as part of the Operational Technology (OT) stack. This includes but is not limited to the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Historian, Maintenance Scheduling, and Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) systems.  This is a global full-time position. The position will report directly to the VP IT Applications, who is based in Europe.

 

Primary Responsibilities

This role is accountable for:
 

  • Being the central point of contact between Operations and IT for global Manufacturing Applications (support and projects)
  • Building strong relationships with the stakeholders Operations  OT application integrators, and IT to enable effective dialogue exchange between departments
  • Managing the  Manufacturing Applications team
  • Working with Operations to agree on the Service Level Agreement (SLAs) and the support model
  • Working to ensure the quality of service in accordance with the agreed SLAs
  • Work the Tronox Operations Information Technology (TOIS) Center of Excellence (CoE) to prioritize enhancement requests
  • Deliver agreed enhancements following the IT Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Change Management process
  • Anticipating and mitigating risks, identifying improvement opportunities
  • Providing progress and status reports at regular intervals to the stakeholders
  • Managing issues and requests utilizing the IT Service Management (ITSM) ticketing systems and ensure that the tickets are progressing and resolved in accordance with the SLAs
  • Organizing and leading the meetings related with Global Manufacturing applications
  • Determine the staffing requirements and skills needed to support the Manufacturing Applications
  • Reviewing and validating the monthly invoicing of the OT global applications vendors

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ Years of IT Applications or OT Applications management experience
  • Hands on Operations experience and knowledge of Operational Excellence and Process Improvement
  • Experience in digital transformation projects
  • Technically proficient with Process Control Systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and historian systems (e.g. full Siemens Suite, Emerson DeltaV, Syncade, OSI PI) Thingworx, Khronos Insight, Aveva Production Management (formally known as Ampla), Bulk Matrix, Honeywell Connected Plant; RT Duet)
  • Experience in working with or managing a near-shore/off-shore applications support/development teams
  • Understanding of the ISA95 Purdue model
  • Ability to translate Business Requirements (BR) to Functional Requirements (FR)
  • Strong organization and coordination skills
  • Demonstrated experience in developing project strategies and managing complex projects from initiation to completion
  • Excellent communication skills, strong relationship builder
  • Must be a results-oriented motivator with a “can-do” attitude, strong customer support abilities
  • Must be a problem solver with varying degrees of complexity
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • You are proficient in English, excellent verbal, and written skills.
 

Additionally:

  • Experience with SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) S4 or ECC6
  • Experience with Cloud based architectures, Microsoft Azure preferred
  • Experience with advanced data models including Data Lakehouse, Data Factory, and Databricks
  • Understanding of Enterprise Architecture and systems design
  • Able to work in a matrix organization
  • Has worked for a multinational company and is able to work effectively with different cultures
  • You have worked in manufacturing working environments  
  • You have experience in the Mining and Chemical industry
  • You are able to work independently with initiative, be a strong team player, have excellent time management skills
  • You are able to influence your stakeholders, and have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • You have the ability to write business correspondence and procedure manuals. And the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of users and managers.
