Position Overview

This is a key role responsible for leading the development and support of the Azure Integration Platform withing the Tronox IT organization. This is a strategic position critical to driving Digitalization at Tronox and contributing to the Enterprise Architecture function within the Business Transformation Program which is pivotal to Tronox’s business strategy.

This position’s primary function is to be accountable for the strategic Tronox’s enterprise integration platform on Azure, to provide platform-level and solution-level technical leadership to the integration engineering team, and to work with the platform and DevOps engineering team to make sure the integration platform provides the availability and resilience required for Tronox global business.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Report to IT Integration Manager collaborating across Business Support Functions, Manufacturing and Mining Operations covering both Information Technology and Operational Technology solutions.
  • Be involved on Azure integration development projects, as well as supporting the existing integration platform.
  • Collaborate with the platform and integration engineers to ensure the platform’s readiness, resilience, security, and governance as required by the business.
  • Work alongside internal functional teams ensuring Tronox’s enterprise integration platform and solutions are aligned to business requirements.
  • Provide technical governance for future enhancements to be implemented on the Tronox’s Azure enterprise integration platform.
  • Contribute to the development of Tronox’s enterprise level architecture.
  • As directed by the enterprise architect, assist in quality assurance reviews of the architecture review board submissions and ensure compliance to integration architecture standards.

 

Skills and Qualifications


A candidate that we would love would be:

  • 10+ years’ experience in the IT industry, including at least 3+ years’ experience as an Azure integration solution architect having successfully led the delivery of a variety of integration solutions on Azure.
  • A broad understanding of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and manufacturing execution systems (MES) solutions and their integration requirements.
  • A strong team player with a consensus building style on technical matters driven by achieving business goals.
  • Experience on large transformation programs with complex integration requirements.

 

Essential Skills

  • Business Skills:
    • Ability to quickly develop a network of relationships on a large transformation program
    • Understanding business strategy, organization, and culture and how they align with technical priorities

 

  • Technical Skills:
    • Commercial experience with automation scripting and infrastructure as code (IaC) like ARM templates, Bicep templates, or Terraform.
    • Experience with SAP S/4 HANA integration is highly valued.
    • Agile, Scrum, ITIL, or DevOps experience is highly regarded.
    • Proven experience with Azure and hybrid integration technologies. Experience in architecting integration solutions with the Azure iPaaS stack including, but not limited to API Management, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, App Service, Service Bus, Azure Data Factory.
    • Ability to review IaC pull requests to commit infrastructure changes to the integration platform
    • Good understanding of Azure networking, including VNets, UDRs, App Service Environments, Application Gateway, Private Endpoints, DNS Zones, Traffic Manager, Bastion, etc.
    • Understanding of Azure Monitoring capabilities including Azure Dashboards, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, alerts, and Kusto Query Language.
    • Experience with Azure storage, including Storage Accounts and Azure Files.
    • Experience with security and compliance on Azure, including the use of Key Vault, Azure WAF, and Azure policies.
    • Proven experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
