Tronox is the largest vertically integrated producer of titanium-containing ore and titanium dioxide (TiO2) pigment. We are an international company with approximately 7,000 employees, on 6 different continents and headquartered in the United States. Our location in the Botlek is the only factory in the Netherlands that produces pigment from ore.

 

 

What are you going to do?

 

 

 

Individual is accountable and responsible for the installation, maintenance, support, and monitoring of the wide area network, local area networks, and telecommunications infrastructure for a multi-national corporation.

The ability to work proactively and cooperatively as a team is essential as this position is expected to resolve team driven escalations, as well as issues with technology vendors and external service providers. Participation in client technology reviews, upgrades and change outs is expected.

You are going to work within a centralized IT Operations team, providing local/regional support, while being part of the global team.

You will be located in the Botlek location, regular visits to our sites in France and UK are expected.

The following core activities will be covered in the position:

  • Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot all LAN, WAN, WLAN and voice issues.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network based security hardware
  • Implement, troubleshoot and resolve telecommunication and unified communications related issues.
  • Plan, implement and support network solutions across multiple platforms and cloud environments using industry standard practices.
  • Implementation of new sites, responsible for maintaining IP address schema, and maintaining the network documentation, software and services.
  • Maintain and configure QoS for voice, video and data on the WAN.
  • Perform proactive maintenance of all network and security hardware.
  • Survey & Maintain Wi-Fi reliability and strength for all covered sites through solid architecture, quality and coverage assessments and through the use of monitoring tools.
  • Produce quality technical documentation in support of changes and configuration management, maintain network diagrams, and to ensure other network engineers can assist in performing duties as required.
  • Drive root cause analysis and approve preventive action plans.
  • Implement network security requirements with consultation with IT Security.
  • Provide escalation support and own the resolution of network availability, performance or security incidents.

  • It is a full-time position;

What are you bringing?

 

 

 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar discipline, along with 5+ years of related experience in managing and operate data and voice networks across multiple sites.
  • Experience configuring and managing a global network.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, SD-WAN,  IPsec, Layer 2 and Layer 3 routing technologies, and very strong knowledge of Internet protocols, standards, and technologies.
  • Networking professional level certificate or equivalent (e.g. CCNA/PCNSA)  highly preferred
  • Knowledge of  Cisco & HP switches configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Expertise with VLANs, switching and routing protocols including STP, VRRP, BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
  • Understanding business strategy, organization and culture
  • Must be able to work independently with initiative, be a strong team player, have excellent interpersonal, customer service, and time management skills.

  • Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Excellent proficiency in English for verbal and written communications.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
