Summary

The Inventory Analyst is a member of the Order to Delivery Team and supports the entire sales process focusing on inventory management for import / export warehouses. The position is responsible for monitoring inflows / outflows of products to support customer needs in North America to ensure successful delivery to end use customer. Order allocation and fulfillment is another critical area of responsibility. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy, understanding systems, and having an innate ability to problem solve are key components of this role.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Monitor STO (Stock Transfer Orders) inbound and of outbound execution
  • End to end inventory ownership from manufacture to allocation, batch determination, material transfer, and inventory reconciliation
  • Forecast short term inventory levels for North America warehouses
  • Act as the interface between IBP and OTD
  • Optimize inventory including management of slow moving stock / Off Spec Product
  • Ensure the order to delivery process is achieved at the lowest cost to the customer
  • Direct the management of finished goods inventory at respective warehouse locations, including the replenishment of inventory
  • Responsible for inventory-related reporting and analysis
  • Possess proven ability to solve problems and develop new skills
  • Receive and internalize feedback given from others as well as provide feedback to teammates
  • Identify opportunities and develop proposals for improving product availability, controlling inventory costs and optimizing the inventory flow of goods within the organization and to customers
  • Participate and/or lead cross-functionally (production, sales, customer service, and global logistics) on improvement initiatives
  • Exhibit expert level knowledge of SAP and a thorough understanding of the impact on other systems and users within the company
  • Be receptive to applying analytical skill set in other departments
  • Take ownership of assigned projects and manage them with minimal direction

Education and Experience

  • Business related degree with 1-5 years’ experience working as part of a team (manufacturing service environment is a plus)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • SAP experience a plus
