TRONOX APPRENTICESHIP OPPORTUNITY FOR 2026

Looking to grow your career?

Join our extraordinary team at Tronox Namakwa Sands and take part in a 3-year Apprenticeship Programme blending both on-the-job off-the-job training, leading to qualification as a skilled artisan successful trade testing.                                                                                                                                               

THE FOLLOWING DISCIPLINES WILL BE CONSIDERED:

Apprenticeships in the following Engineering Trades:

  • Instrumentation Mechanician
  • Refractory Mason
  • Rigger

WHAT YOU NEED TO QUALIFY:

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Minimum educational qualification: Grade 12/ N3 certificate/ NCV L4 (all to include Maths and Science)
  • Driver's License
  • Be medical fit
  • Applicant must be between the ages of 18-35 years.


NOTE:

  • Shortlisted applicants to go through a selection process (including psychometric assessments, background screening, and medical examinations).
  • Applicants may apply for one discipline only.
  • Successful candidates will be rotated between Tronox Business Sites to complete on-the-job training.
  • Tronox employees must provide an approved Individual development plan (IDP)
  • Mathematical Literacy will not be accepted.
  • Applicants from the local communities surrounding the Namakwa Sands sites (Saldanha and Matzikama Municipalities) will be given preference.
