Professional-In-Training 2026

Location

Central Processing Complex, Empangeni - KZN Sands

Position Overview

We are looking for dynamic and self-motivated individuals with the necessary ability and intention to enter a Professional-In-Training programme for the following disciplines:

  • Geology
  • Survey 
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Metallurgical Engineering
  • Instrumentation 
  • Human Resources / Industrial psychology

These are temporary positions for a period of 2-years for non-technical fields and 3-years for technical fields.

 Who can apply?

Candidates who have completed:

  • Grade 12 (Mandatory)
  • BSc/ BEng/ BCom Degree/ Advanced Diploma/ BTech in relevant discipline (Mandatory)
  • BSc  Honours in Geology (NQF Level 8)
  • Valid Driver’s License (Advantage)

 The following documentation should accompany your application:

  • CV with certified below listed supporting documents (not older than 3-months)
    • Identity Document (ID)
    • Grade 12 certificate
    • Qualification
    • Proof of Residence from Traditional Council (TC)
    • Candidate must have not participated in any internship before  
    • Age 18 – 35 years

  • Macambini [Inkosi Mathaba]
  • Madlebe [Inkosi Zungu]

Municipalities:

  • Umhlathuze Municipality
  • Umlalazi municipality
  • Mandeni municipality
