Job Summary
  • Provide supervision and oversight for order fulfillment, inventory management, and distribution teams.
  • Resolve issues through hands-on problem solving and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure team activities align with established business processes and standards.
  • Delegate tasks and monitor progress through to completion.
  • Train, guide, and motivate team members, applying knowledge of Tronox’s order fulfillment and delivery systems to drive achievement of departmental objectives.
Qualifications and experience
  • Grade 12 (Mandatory)
  • Nation Diploma in Logistics or equivalent NQF6 (Mandatory)
  • Minimum 8 year’s role specific experience within shipping environment for heavy industry commodities. (Mandatory)
  • Minimum 3 years Management / Supervisory experience (Mandatory)
  • Driver’s License (Mandatory)
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee compliance with health, safety, security and environmental (HSSE) regulations, and applicable Tronox policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures including the effective operation of internal controls
  • Respond quickly and effectively to queries and complaints from customers regarding the OTD processes. Monitor root causes and propose systemic corrections as may be required.
  • Monitor and correct as necessary the effectiveness of key service providers.
  • Participate in the selection, coaching, and development of staff. Provide regular training, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Direct all activities around customer master data, pricing, accruals, and rebates to ensure accurate customer data reporting and financial accounting.
  • Oversee the efficient and safe operation of warehouses, including receiving, storing, packing and dispatching of Tronox products
  • Daily oversight and management of the allocation of finished products to customers.
  • Assist in the budget development and analysis process. Review and provide oversight towards achievement of cost management goals.
  • Manage implementation of initiatives designed for improving product availability, controlling inventory costs and optimizing the inventory flow of goods within the organization and to customers.
  • Participate in SOX compliance requirements required within Order to Delivery to ensure compliance with regulations.
Knowledge and Skills

  • Proficient in SAP and MS Office
  • Ability to work with diverse environment and cultures
  • Analyse shipping problem trends
