Position Overview
Experienced Human Resources professional who will support and partner with stakeholders, and employees across the site and business. The Human Resources Business Partner will oversee, participate in, and coordinate general Human Resources activities, including HRIS management, data, analytical application, benefits, onboarding, recruitment, personnel actions, and regulatory compliance (including EEO/AAP and Human Resources policies and procedures). The position requires strong and proven results using data and analytics as foundational Human Resources tools for continuous business improvement. The Human Resources Business Partner ensure operations of the plant in an environmentally responsible manner in compliance with all Safety, Health and Environmental Policy and sets an example for Tronox’s core values, treats others with respect, and acts with personal and organizational integrity. This position is part of the Human Resources department reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager. Starting salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000. Tronox also offers a competitive benefits program, that allows you to design a program that meets your personal or family circumstances. The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Provides general HR consulting for non-executive levels.
- Leads and coordinates recruitment, selection, placement and on-boarding process.
- Investigates and resolves complex individual or group employee benefit claims.
- Assists in developing, modifying & delivering HR Training programs.
- Advises line managers on personnel procedures and precedents.
- Participates and Investigates disciplinary and grievance process.
- Identifies potential HR risks and report to the HRM
- Contributes towards ensuring HRIS quality data and payroll integrity.
- Leads single business unit HR project work
- Implements HR strategies on behalf of HR Manager and specialist functions
- Coaches and influences line leaders in people and leadership aspects of their role.
- Acts as a single point of contact for employees and managers in the business unit for people management.
- Responsible for implementing best practices and supports delivery of HR processes at the business unit.
- Identifies gaps, proposes and implements changes necessary to cover risks.
- Responsible for acting as a performance improvement driver and provokes positive changes in local people management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Human Resources Information Systems, with at least five (7) years of relevant, direct HR experience required. Master's or MBA degree preferred.
- Proven expertise in employment law
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookup, combo graphs)
- Microsoft Power BI proficiency
- SAP experience
- HRIS expertise
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Capability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Proven Interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Excellent time management with the capability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask various projects and assignments.
- Capacity to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Strong presentation skills
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations (FMLA, FLSA, ADA, etc.) is required.
- Experience in a manufacturing or high-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to fifteen pounds at times.
- This is a full-time, on-site position.

Located on approximately 3,000 acres of beautiful landscape in Northeast Mississippi the Hamilton facility is Tronox's largest titanium dioxide manufacturing facility. In operation for more than 60 years, the plant continues to stand the test of time by continuously growing and developing new technologies and strategies.
