About the Role
The Applications Manager, Finance will report to the Director of Global Applications, this role drives business value across Finance and Controlling by partnering with Finance leaders to deliver and adopt innovative process and technology solutions that supports business strategy and outcomes. With global accountability, the Applications Manager, Finance, oversees a team of approximately 10 resources, including 4 direct reports and the remainder through indirect reporting lines. Role will be responsible for operating within budget and to recommend budget changes as required.
A wide range of Finance functions is supported, including financial consolidation and reporting, corporate and management accounting, budgeting and forecasting, treasury, tax, product costing, receivables, payables, fixed assets, credit and collections, lease accounting, and account reconciliations.
Location
Remote role supporting central time-zones, with global collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary IT partner for the Finance organization, aligning the Applications Roadmap with business strategy and objectives
- Translate Finance business needs into functional and technical requirements, and lead delivery of system enhancements and digital transformation initiatives from concept through implementation
- Continuously analyze Finance processes to identify opportunities to utilize latest digital technologies for efficiency and improved business outcomes, and support related business cases
- Lead problem diagnosis to find root causes and implement appropriate solutions
- Work with the support team to set up support channels, resolve incidents, and manage changes and enhancements
- Oversee testing to ensure applications work correctly and follow business policies and controls
- Monitor system performance, manage maintenance, updates, and upgrades, ensure alignment to the planned architecture, and manage risk and disaster recovery plans
- Ensure compliance with IT controls, security standards, SDLC, and SOX requirements, including review and approval of change evidence
- Work with procurements to select and manage vendors for software development, licensing, and support services.
- Provide status reporting to leadership and manage, coach, and develop direct reports to deliver business results

About You
- Accounting background preferred; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, IT, or related field (CPA a plus)
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Financials (FI, CO, TR, PS) and integrations; ECC 6.0 required (S/4HANA a plus)
- Experience with Blackline, Lease Controller, OneSource and OneStream is a plus
- Adept in planning, executing, and monitoring projects
- Knowledge of industry best practices pertaining to technology design and management
- Strong understanding of finance and costing processes
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience supporting US based clients, including SOX and US GAAP
- Comfortable engaging with global C-suite Finance leaders and stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Some domestic and international travel may be required (15% - 25% travel expected)
