Inventory Control Coordinator, B4/CU


Location

Tronox KZN Sands, CPC Empangeni

 

Position Overview

Coordinating the end-to-end inventory planning processes for Tronox KZN region. Responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels of materials, monitoring the storage and preservation strategies, conducting regular cycle counts and maintaining material master data parameters.



Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall inventory levels by setting up correct MRP planning parameters to ensure consistent availability of material.
  • Review stock consumption, classify inventory and ensure that the stock levels satisfies the required availability.
  • Develop and manage the material planning processes, maintain inventory value, and replenish stock as needed.
  • Identify excess, slow moving and obsolete (SLOB) inventory and move them out of the system following the Tronox policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement inventory control systems and practices.
  • Analyse and review inventory data to identify risks and areas for improvement.
  • Manage stock taking procedure and processes, perform regular stock checks and compile inventory and KPI reports.
  • Investigate stock variances, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Follow the working conditions and follow safety procedures in the workplace.
  • Perform fair and reasonable tasks related to the job and working environment, at the discretion of the direct superior.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in Inventory/Supply Chain or related, NQF level 6 (Mandatory)
  • Computer Literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook,PowerPoint) (Mandatory)
  • Driver’s License (Code 8) (Mandatory)
  • 3-5 years in warehouse and inventory experience (Mandatory)
  • SAP knowledge (Advantageous)
