Summary
The Global IBP Logistics & Inventory Analyst will be accountable for analyzing and executing Tronox global feedstock shipments with all stakeholders, managing and tracking logistics costs, exceptions, and global feedstock inventory as well as management of logistics and inventory cost trade-offs to ensure Safe, Quality, Low Cost & Sustainable tons.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Executes Tronox global feedstock shipping plan:
- Coordinates STEM Requests with Global Feedstock Planner as well as Internal and External Feedstock Suppliers.
- Coordinate PR/PO & STR/STO creation for feedstock with buying plants.
- Generate SA Feedstock Price Approval Requests (PAR’s) in EPX for interim period until S4 is implemented in South Africa (1H 2027).
- Communicate with Supply Chain for feedstock movements with and without existing contracts.
- Communicates vessel arrival dates to local Stakeholders.
- Ensure relative shipment documents are filed in document management system.
- Global inventory exception management:
- Handling logistics and inventory exception management in systems/tools and resolve exceptions by collaborating with various stakeholders.
- Manage Feedstock & Co-Product Stock Transfer Orders process for Intercompany and Intracompany transfers for all sites (S4) – inclusive of mining semi-finished goods and engage with all stakeholders to ensure execution from a site perspective.
- Provide input into business transformation systems related to logistics and bulk shipment movements.
- Advise finance of material in transit at month end (interim process until S4 globally implemented).
- Support data analysis for Global Logistics i.e. calculating safety stock for feedstocks, etc.
- Assist with data consolidation related to logistics costs for annual EO Model updates and AI use cases.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure logistics costs forecasts are available for IBP processes. Inclusive of all modes of transport e.g. bulk ocean, container, local handling, rail and trucks.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; preference in Logistics/Supply Chain Management. Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
- 2-5 years in Logistics operations, transportation, material handling and warehouse operations (logistics analysis).
Required Skills
- Candidates to understand global warehouse & logistics costs, provide consolidate cost input to enterprise optimization model or any other IBP tool, and validate the input and output for logistics cost calculation and its impact on material directions.
- Candidates to understand inventory theories. Review global feedstock inventory and manage the logistics and inventory cost trade-offs.
- Good understanding of ocean bulk and ocean container industry. International trade and working knowledge IMSBC code as well as Incoterms®2020.
- SAP (ECC6 & S4-HANA) proficient.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams & PowerBI) proficient.
- Advanced analytical skills, including ability to identify trends, understanding of key business drivers (Logistics) of the business value chain.
- Good communication and collaboration skills (internal & external). Conflict resolution skills.
- Able to understand and support inventory calculations of safety stock and requirements.
- Knowledge of ERP systems a plus.
