Operations Strategic Manager – Botlek NL

 

To ensure the development and continuous improvement of the sites strategic business plan to ultimately deliver SQLCST in support of the Tronox Strategy

 

Strategy is what drives our business forward and is essential to our success. We are looking for a new colleague to guide the Leadership Team and support the Site Director into a successful future.

 

 

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO

 

 

 

 

Business Planning & Strategy:

  • Develop & continuously improve strategic business planning
  • Responsible to ensure tactical execution of the Site business planning process
  • Assures Site leadership is aligned on priorities to achieve the plan
  • Responsible for strategic Site production planning, aligning production improvement activities with the production plan. Specifically:
    • developing an 18-month integrated production and maintenance plan, including the effective examination of: performance KPI's (OEE, OE, Line rate); Sales results; T&I improvements and major maintenance tasks
    • developing and communicating the 3 month integrated production and maintenance plan, including the review of: previous monthly performance KPI's (OEE, OE, Line rate); confirmation of the sales forecast; T&I improvement expectations; confirmation of maintenance tasks; plan 'events'
  • Inputs key data and integrated information into the integrated annual and 5-year business plan for the Site and assures Site leadership is aligned on priorities to achieve the plan and ensures progress is tracked regularly
  • Is responsible for developing the frameworks and coaching/mentoring the ‘planning, scheduling and coordination’ team to ultimately manage 18-month planning responsibilities
  • Is the Operations interface for non-operational Site functions to ensure an integrated and resource optimized operational plan
  • Is the strategic Site interface to the Global/Regional IBP team
  • Manages and optimizes the Site major events calendar (e.g. shuts, audits, risk analysis, workshops, training, etc.)

 

Organizational Excellence:

  • Takes stewardship of the Site Organizational Excellence plan implementation to drive SQLCST in support of site strategic objectives
  • Site Organizational Excellence auditor and independent assessor - reviews the combination of people and processes and identify opportunities to remove barriers and improve execution
  • Site Owner of the Quality strategy and interface to the Commercial team (e.g. Marketing, R&D)
  • Advises and comments on performance measurement efficiency, effectiveness and consistency of use to ensure continuous improvement of site performance review measures and mechanisms

Practical information:

  • The position is fulltime

WHAT DO YOU OFFER

 

 

 

 

  • Relevant engineering-related Bachelor degree and Academic level of thinking
  • 10 years of relevant work experience in (petro) chemical industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and human relations skills
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (in writing and verbal)
